Medakafish Mutant- i

i (= i1) : Complete albino. Linked with ci

i (= i1) : Albino, recessive, autosomal (Yamamoto 1969), linked with ci (Yamamoto and Oikawa, 1968, 1973).

Tomita (1961) isolated a homozygous i1/i1 strain by successive sib crossings, and maintained it as an iBR albino strain (Tomita, unpublished).

Details, see Tomita, H., Mutant genes in the Medaka, (Yamamoto, T. ed.) "Medaka, Biology and Strains", pp. 251-273, Yugakusha, Tokyo, 1975.
